South Pacific - Vanuatu

Pampered adventures await in the tropical paradise of Vanuatu, from the breathtaking natural harbour of Porta Vila to the adventure-packed outer islands.

80 thrillingly remote tropical islands in the warm South Pacific are a perfect background for your next luxury yachting vacation. Diver’s Mecca, gourmet delight, a place where you can opt for epic adventures or sweet romance, Vanuatu is a special treat for those in the know.

Vanuatu – THING TO DO

Trekking, caving, canyoning, swimming, tribal face painting, boulder climbing, cliff jumping – if any of this sounds like a good idea, don’t miss the Millennium cave in Espiritu Santo, the largest island of the archipelago. With knowledgeable guides, crystal clear streams, delightfully lush vegetation and the views to die for, the cave tour will make you feel as if you are doing a real Ninja warrior course, albeit only a mildly challenging one.

Vanuatu is home to some of the most exciting diving sites in the world. SS President Coolidge consistently makes in to the top 5 best wreck dives ever, with great visibility, comfortable water temperature and good access. Once a luxury passenger liner, she became a troop carrier during WWII and sank after hitting a mine. The vessel is astonishingly huge with the displacement of 22,000 tonnes, lies 17 to 70 m deep, and you’ll need several dives to do justice to this colossal wreck.

Ready to experience the highs and lows of big game fishing? There are quite a few good spots for that around Vanuatu archipelago, easily accessible by your yacht. Expect to hook wahoo, mahi mahi, blue marlin, giant trevally, sailfish and dogtooth tuna. Fish that you caught yourself tastes particularly delicious!

Vanuatuan cuisine is rich in seafood, beef (grass-fed, antibiotic and hormone free), root vegetables and fruit. Coconut milk and cream are used to accentuate many dishes. Some of the best restaurants are found in the capital, the city of Port-Vila, situated on the island of Efate. British, French, Mediterranean and even Thai cuisine with a South Pacific tinge is proffered in fine restaurants, where you get a table outside and enjoy gorgeous sunsets and warm caressing breeze.

Fresh curried prawns, beef cheeks and finger-licking desserts are served in The Blue Marlin Club, Port-Vila; Francesca's Beach Club Bar Restaurant (located in Port Havannah) offer great seafood ravioli as well as prawn and salmon penne; Pad Thai and papaya salad are to be found in Kesorn's Exotic Thai Restaurant. Vanuatu is a foodie destination in the making, which is not surprising given the quality and utmost freshness of ingredients.

Most of Vanuatu nightlife is concentrated in and around the capital city. Banyan Beach Bar is the place to go for fire shows, good expat vibes, great cocktails, sweet tunes and stunning sunsets. Yachties, tourists and locals alike choose The Waterfront Bar and Grill Port Vila Vanuatu right next to the marina to order a drink or two, meet friends, old or new, and dance to a live band. Melanesian feasts and kava tastings take place in the Wild Pig Bar.  And then there is ElektroRock with pumping music and lots of dancing.
